2016 Miss Ada Firemen's Rodeo QUeen
Elli Ragsdale, of Roanoke, Texas, was selected as the Miss Ada Firemen’s Rodeo Queen 2016 after a long two days of competition. “I am truly humbled to be able to represent the cowboys and cowgirls of the IPRA and the brave men and women of the Ada Professional Fire Fighters Association. “
Elli is the 19-year- old daughter of Russell and Kelli Ragsdale. She has three siblings Jake, Britainy and Hannah who are her second biggest supporters behind her parents. Since the age of nine Elli has been involved with horses through showing, rodeo, rodeo queening, and ranch work. Elli attends North Central Texas College in Gainesville where she plans to finish her basics before transferring to Oklahoma State University to receive a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
“I do not want to be just another cowgirl in a crown but a cowgirl with a purpose.”
Elli believes that a rodeo queen is more than just a pretty face or matching outfits
but it is about being a positive role model to the future generations of rodeo athletes. She is excited to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport of professional rodeo and its competitors, both two legged and four. Elli cannot wait to see what this next year holds for her as the Miss Ada Firemen’s Rodeo Queen and she looks forward to traveling to numerous parades, rodeos and other community events!
Elli would like to say a huge thank you to her family and friends for always pushing her to be the best that she can be no matter what the outcome may be. She would also like to thank the Ada Firemen’s Rodeo Pageant directors for helping make the pageant a memorable experience. I hope to see you all down the rodeo road but until then may God bless you today and always.
